Restoring Hope and Healing for Vulnerable Children
With over five years of experience in law enforcement, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by children who have been let down by those meant to protect them. These encounters led me to work closely with Child Advocacy Centers, whose mission is to minimize the trauma children experience, no matter the form of abuse or neglect. These centers often provide the first safe haven for children, offering comfort and stability during their most vulnerable moments.
Sadly, many of these centers are underfunded and stretched thin by the growing need for their services. This is why I am passionate about supporting Child Advocacy Centers, ensuring they have the resources necessary to offer hope and healing to every child who walks through their doors.
During these critical times, children may enter foster care, find refuge with a safe family member, or participate in forensic interviews that require them to revisit painful memories. It is in these moments that intervention is most vital. We strive to remind each child that they are deeply loved, that Jesus loves them, and that their lives are filled with purpose and promise. Their stories are not defined by their trauma—they are written by God, who sees them as victors, not victims. Our goal is to help them rediscover safety, hope, and a sense of belonging.
By building bridges between local churches and advocacy centers, we can shine a light into places that need it most. We believe the body of Christ is called to respond with compassion and action. As Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Every child of God has a unique calling, and together, we can help them step into their future with confidence.
As a father, these stories touch me deeply. I am reminded of Mark 9:42: “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.” Every child belongs to God, and this conviction inspired the name of our organization: Operation Millstone.
Our mission is to protect the identity and dignity of marginalized children, reminding them that they are cherished by their heavenly Father and that justice belongs to the Lord. We are committed to partnering with Child Advocacy Centers and churches across the country, providing practical support and essential resources to help displaced children begin their journey of healing.
